Contrasting Videos: Bat vs. Ghost

First, a sweet, colorful video entitled I’m a Bat, produced as a 4th-year project at California Institute of the Arts by Lauren Adassovsky.  The message here is “Know who you are.”

The second video, while also an old-school “drawn” animation (as opposed to stop-action or CGI) is a film titled The Chase in the Ghost Train from Hugo Ramirez. The plot is pretty much told by the title, but the black-and-white animation is lovely and harkens back to the days before computers sought to make animation perfect and characters wondrous little plastic dolls you can purchase at Toys R Us after the movie.

I imagine we’ll be featuring works from both of these talented artists in future posts.
